Gill attended Marist Brothers Linmeyer High School and matriculated from Damelin College. She graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand in 1992 with a BSc degree in Physiotherapy. After graduating, she worked in private practice and joined my practice in 1998 on a full time basis. After having her children in 2000 and 2003, Gill continued working in my practice, but on a part-time basis. She has lived in the Table View/Melkbos area since 1996.
In 2019, Gill was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis which has made working as a hands-on physiotherapist difficult, so she has been unable to continue with us at Mandy Knaap Physiotherapy.
Gill has for many years, had a special interest in treating chronic pain. She has started working online as a pain coach, empowering people with chronic pain with the tools, skills and strategies to reduce the impact of pain on their lives. You can read more about this on: www.thepaincoach.co.za or contact Gill at gillian@thepaincoach.co.za.
Gill also has an interest in oncology rehabilitation which aims at reducing the impact of cancer and cancer treatment on the patient’s quality of life.
